Biography

Nahid Zamani was born in 1988 in Isfahan, Iran. She is a freelance Cartoonist and Illustrator.

Nahid started her career as a Cartoonist in 2010 by collaborating with local Newspapers. Her interest in Editorial Cartoons has led her to work continuously with valuable national and international Newspapers, Magazines, and News Agencies, such as Jam Jam Newspaper, Shargh Newspaper, Iran Newspaper, Arman Meli Newspaper, Bi Qanoon Newspaper, Nimrooz Comic Magazine, BirkitapbindosT Cartoon Magazine in Turkey, and Buduar Comic Magazine in Italy.

To date, she has won many prestigious Awards at reputable international and national Cartoon Festivals worldwide, and her works have found their way to many distinguished cartoon exhibitions in different countries.

The most important issue for her is Human Rights especially Violence against Women and Children.

In 2018, Izel Rosental, the Turkish cartoonist, critic, and journalist introduced her as Warriors' Woman of the 20th century in the Salom Dergi Turkish monthly Magazine.

In 2019, Nahid held her first Solo Cartoon Exhibition at the Isfahan Artists' Forum.

In 2020-2021, she became a member of the Cartoon Movement and Cartooning for Peace.

In 2021 her cartoon, entitled Girls Education Rights, was selected as one of the Top Ten Cartoons of 2021 by Cartoon Movement.

In 2022, the ambassador of Mexico in Iran invited her to Tehran to have a meeting, after she was introduced in part of the "Chamuco TV" show on cultural TV Canal 22 in Mexico.

She turned to Illustration professionally in 2019 and to date has illustrated 7 volumes of Books commissioned by prestigious Publishing Houses such as Houpa.

Nahid completed a BA in Economics at the University of Isfahan, and a MA in Business Management at the University of Yazd, which led her to take a multifaceted and different look at issues that is evident in the style of her works.
